11. ACIC Code Of Conduct

For all members and non‑members attending ACIC gatherings and events

This Code outlines the expectations for respectful behavior, community cooperation, and shared responsibility in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

As an Islamic community and a registered charitable organization, ACIC follows all Canadian laws governing charities while upholding the ethical principles and values rooted in our faith. Our community brings together members from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and this diversity is one of our greatest strengths.

To protect our unity and ensure a welcoming environment for everyone, ACIC encourages all members and visitors to follow this Code of Conduct. These guidelines reflect the Islamic values and community standards that help us maintain a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.

Respect & Dignity
The use of any inappropriate, offensive or aggressive language is not permitted. Treat everyone with dignity, fairness, and kindness by practicing respectful communication.

Non Discrimination
ACIC has zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or prejudice based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Every individual deserves equal respect and fair treatment. We encourage everyone to value diversity, show empathy in all interactions, and promote cooperation to help create a welcoming and supportive community for all.

Cooperation With Volunteers
Please follow the instructions of ACIC volunteers in charge to help maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Your cooperation with volunteers in the parking area, inside the brothers’ and sisters’ halls, and those overseeing food distribution helps ensure our gatherings run smoothly and successfully.

Dispute Resolution
Resolve disagreements respectfully and seek help from volunteers, lead volunteers, or the ACIC management team if needed. Please do not engage in any form of aggressive behavior.

Prohibited Behavior
Offensive, abusive, argumentative, physically aggressive, or disruptive conduct is not permitted. Through your responsible interactions, please help us maintain a safe, respectful, and harmonious environment for all.

Note: If someone is being abusive toward you, do not get involved — report it immediately to the closest volunteer or ACIC management team and seek help.

Islamic Dress Code
ACIC is an Islamic community, and we expect everyone attending our gatherings to observe Islamic standards of modest dress as a sign of dignity and respect, supporting our shared commitment to community values.

Consequences
Violations may result in disciplinary action, including temporary suspension, permanent termination of membership, or a ban from entering ACIC premises, as determined by the Board of Directors in accordance with the organization’s bylaws and policies.
